Hi! My name is Allison and I have a bad case of the travel bug. Growing up, I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to travel around the US and up to Canada. However, it all really started in 2010…when I was 20 years old and dreamed of travelling overseas on my own. Needing a break from school, I packed up my life into 2 suitcases and moved to New Zealand for a year. My trip was supposed to end there, but instead of coming home I decided to spend the following year in Australia, while also making a side trip to Thailand.
All while experiencing these amazing countries, I supported myself by working as a travel consultant, and in bars and restaurants. When I finally made it home, I went back to school, met the man of my dreams, and stayed in one place for an entire year!
Needing yet another break from school (I did finally finish), I hit the road again–this time with my partner-in-crime, Dan. Armed with a GoPro, digital SLR Camera, and extreme sense of adventure we are seeing the world one destination at a time!
Now we have teamed up to create this site, which provides travelers (like you) some insight on destinations around the world. I handle website content, while Dan makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. I aim to provide detailed information through text, photography, and videos to enhance your future travel experiences. I want to make this more than just a travel blog, but rather a travel resource—providing the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between!
While contributing valuable information to future vacationers, I also give my friends and family the opportunity to keep up with where I am and what I’m doing…after ongoing complaints about my lack of updates, I now make it easier than ever for them to live vicariously through me! ;-)
Hopefully by sharing these amazing experiences, I can inspire others to get out there and experience all that the world has to offer!
